A wealth of free food, clothing, furniture and household goods are available for refugees thanks to the generosity of Waterloo Region residents! Agencies and private sponsors are encouraged to check out our donations page for contact information and locations or get more details here.
Agencies are encouraged to utilize the wealth of volunteer capacity in Waterloo Region to help deliver their programming for Syrian refugees. Agencies in need of volunteers should provide the Volunteer Action Centre with job descriptions.
Private sponsors and agencies may benefit from the services of trained interpreters, volunteer community navigators fluent in Arabic and other languages, and settlement workers. To understand the type of support you need in various circumstances and where to access it, read this.

Settlement workers for privately sponsored refugees can be accessed through the K-W Multicultural Centre and the YMCA Immigrant Services.
As refugees arrive, call 310-CCAC x5521 and ask for Primary Care Connect for centralized intake screening, assessment and pathways to primary care.
